Good necro builds don't use healing prayers, necro's have plenty of great self healing options. You should post your current build first then we will have something to work with

What campaigns do you have?
[skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]parasitic bond[/skill][skill]words of comfort[/skill][skill]reckless haste[/skill][skill]well of darkness[/skill][skill]signet of lost souls[/skill][skill]desecrate enchantments[/skill][skill]rebirth[/skill]
I agree that using healing prayers isn't worth it, because you need a lot of attributes into Healing Prayers to make it even remotely useful.

If you have GWEN, consider bringing some stuff like: Pain Inverter, "Finish Him!", Mind Bender, Air of Superiority, or an Asuran summon.
If you have NF, consider bringing Necrosis.
If you have Factions, you could bring Signet of Corruption, but I don't like it for the long recharge.
If you are running SS, it's best if you bring Arcane Echo.

there are better things to bring than AE for PvE. in the end it just ends up costing you too much...

Um, no that statement should have PvP in place of the PvE. Arcane Echo is an amazing skill period. The energy cost is actually 0 if you have a semi functional brain. You have 20 seconds to cast a spell.....taking into account the 2 second cast lets say only 15 seconds(yes I know you could actually cast it just before the 18 second mark but)....with 4 pips of energy you gain over 19 energy in that period of time....you get the full 15 Energy back in a measly 11.28 seconds. Now if you add options like Auspicious Incantation you actually gain energy....for real....do the math please.
Now then, on to using a N/Mo with a Spiteful Build. First off decide your priorities. Healing should not be the main one imo. As others have already said more help can be offered if you give us your current build. Some will insult it greatly no matter what is in it but others will try to offer helpful advice/opinions.
Personally protection is just a better line than healing(imo) and many others will echo that sentiment. However, since you chose healing prayers then lets go with it.
Bring Dwaynas Kiss, yes it only heals others but really you probably have a monk and that should be the only person you NEED to heal. Dwayna's is a flat out awesome healing spell. If you have extra energy often then Heal Party is also nice to help ease the pressure on your primary healers if they aren't already running it or LoD. Healing Whisper and Gift of Health are other situational spells that can shine in many situations on off monks support roles.
All of those target other people though and you should note that point. If you are looking for self heals that is another story. Healing Breeze has been buffed recently to semi-viability in areas without enchantment removal. I would probably be more likely to recommend a simple curse known as Parasitic Bond. Cover every hex you cast with this spell and every 20 seconds or when the target dies or when PB gets removed you are healed by a nice chunk. Hexer's Vigor is another option for self healing as is Signet of Lost Souls though both are conditional also.
Having said all that, it's just general ideals. More information from you would be much more helpful such as: what campaign are you playing, what campaigns do you have, what skills do you have available, and what level is your character.

/end drunken rant
